The News Quiz recorded its last edition hosted by Sandi Toksvig last night.Toksvig was joined for the emotional episode by regular panellist Jeremy Hardy and guests Andy Hamilton, Phill Jupitus and Francis Wheen. It will be broadcast this evening on Radio 4 at 6.30pm. 

Toksvig hosted the show for nine years and chaired over 220 episodes. During her time as host, the programme has become one of the most popular on BBC Radio 4, attracting millions of listeners each week and regularly topping the list of most-requested radio shows on BBC iPlayer.

The award-winning broadcaster and comedian will continue to appear on radio and TV. She will still be presenting quiz show Fifteen to One as well as working with her newly formed political party, the Women's Equality Party.
