If you are quick you can get the cream of Edinburgh in one helping in Kings Cross. The Comedy Grotto at The Star of Kings is an all-day event that really does offer Londoners the chance to see some of the shows Edinburgh will be getting into a lather about over the next month. There's James Acaster discussing his time doing jury service, Liam Williams being dour, cerebral, northern and anti-establishment, Ivo Graham doing his self-depracting posh thing, plus Lou Sanders being nuts and Sarah Kendall being confessional. There is also a chance to catch Richard Herring who is working on material for his non-Edinburgh show Happy Now? which he will be doing at The Leicester Square Theatre on Sept 12. But be quick, the earlier you get there the more laughs you will have.
Saturday, August, 1. Tickets & Info here.
