Jason Manford is joining Absolute Radio. He will be presenting the breakfast show on Sunday mornings from 8am - 11am from January 10, 2016.
This is not the first time Manford has worked on the radio. He did a two-year stint at XFM Manchester as breakfast host and also covered for Danny Baker on Radio 2.
Manford spoke to Beyond The Joke about his latest job: “I’m massively looking forward to presenting the Sunday Breakfast show on Absolute Radio. Nobody in their right mind wants to be up between 8-11 on a Sunday, so let's get through it by having a bit of a laugh together.”
The 34-year-old is one of the busiest performers in the UK at the moment. As well as gigging he starred in a production of The Producers this year and next year he stars as Caractacus Potts in a national tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. He has just returned from a run of shows at the new Udderbelly Festival in Hong Kong. In the New Year he will also be appearing in the UK version of hit American show Lip Sync Battle, which starts on Channel 5 on January 8.
