Update 16/9: A new London date has just been added. It is at the Forum, NW5 on December 19 and tickets have just gone on sale here. Please note this one will be John Robins reading from his, erm, autobiography, A Robins Amongst The Pigeons, with the aid of Elis James. For other dates see below.
Comedians Elis James and John Robins have added an extra London date to their double act tour entitled The Elis James & John Robins Experience due to popular demand.
Their first London date at the Shepherd's Bush Empire on October 28 sold out after three days without any press support. The tour takes in 20 dates starting on 6th October at the Norwich Playhouse and culminating on 14th November at London’s Kentish Town Forum. Tickets for the Forum show go on sale at 10am on Friday April 23.
Both are well-established stand-ups in their own right, but together they front a Radio X weekend show and cult podcast. Their podcast has spawned numerous catchphrases and in-jokes. The live show will mix familiar features with some specially prepared treats and the odd #keepitsession ale. Expect 'Sacred Cows' deemed "too obscure" (Producer Dave) for broadcast, textual healing live, and maybe even a new chapter of A Robins Amongst The Pigeons!
John Robins commented: For over two years now Elis and I have been flying the flag for a number of grassroots issues: session ales below 4.5%, nineteenth century Welsh communists and the rock band Queen, so it seems fitting that we've sold out this historic venue with a plug on our podcast, a handful of tweets and inevitably, the odd email"
