For those who are not friends with Jim Tavare on Facebook or have not checked his feed lately we are delighted to reported that the comedian/actor is now out of hospital and back home.
Last night (UK time) he posted the accompanying picture of himself and explained that the charity Human Touch heard about his accident and donated one of their zero gravity chairs to help with his recovery. "Me and Mr Kippy (his dog) can't thank them enough," he wrote.
He added that he has no range of movement due to 15 brokens ribs, 2 clavicles, sternum, neck, wrist, smashed up femur, fibula and tibia with a new metal heel and ankle, but the chair is helping his recovery and he will hopefully start physio soon.
He thanked the staff at Huntington Memorial Hospital, Pasadena and everyone who has helped and supported him since he was involved in a head on collision.
You can help Tavare by donating to this GoFundMe campaign to pay his medical bills here.
