Britain's Got Talent comedian Daliso Chaponda has signed a major management deal.
Chaponda came third in the BGT final on Saturday night. This deal with CKProductions/Roar Group should give his career a further boost. Christian Knowles of CK Productions handles superstar Micky Flanagan among others, while the Roar Group guides the careers of a number of TV talent show stars as well as comedians.
Malawian comedian Chaponda began his comedy career in Canada with the acclaimed one man show ‘Feed This Black Man’. He regularly appears in comedy clubs and theatres across the around the world. He has been part of the Melbourne, Edinburgh, Singapore and Cape Town Festivals.
He is also a playwright and fiction writer. He has published science fiction, murder mysteries and fantasy fiction in numerous magazines and anthologies. Recently, a play he co-wrote aired on BBC Radio 4.
The deal was officially announced today but BTJ understands that it was brokered before the final, which was won by pianist Tokio Myers.
