Maverick comedian Simon Munnery is expanding his Fylm project from next week, hosting screen-based comedy nights in which other performers will also try out his innovative technique of sitting in the audience and having his performance projected onto an onstage screen. As Munnery has explained in his previous Fylm shows, the camera amplifies the face in the same way as the microphone amplifies the voice. You can read a review of Munnery's first Fylm show at the Leicester Square Theatre here.
Among those taking part are Josie Long, Robert Newman, John Kearns and Kevin Eldon. After warm-ups at the Invisible Dot Club and a visit to the forthcoming Machynlleth Comedy Festival in Wales the final London night will take place at the Udderbelly on the South Bank. Full details and line-ups below. After these shows Munnery takes Fylm School to Edinburgh along with his new solo show, Simon Munnery Sings Soren Kierkegaard, which will be at The Stand from August 1 - 25.
