Sara Pascoe has announced her first UK tour. Taking in an initial 27 dates, the Sara Pascoe Vs History tour will begin in Brighton on October 24, 2014 and conclude in Tunbridge Wells on January 30, 2015, with tickets on sale now.
The tour follows a run at the Assembly at the Edinburgh Fringe in August and is the follow-up to last year's Edinburgh show, Sara Pascoe v The Truth. This one looks at how we deal with a past that "contains wars, witches, Kim Yong-Il and your ex. Your brain can recall being a child, while your body remembers being a monkey. Everything that has happened shapes who we are today."
Pascoe has become a TV regular in recent years, appearing in the BAFTA-nominated Twenty Twelve (BBC2), Campus (C4), Free Agents (C4), FIT (CBBC) and The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret (C4). She has also played guest leads in the BAFTA-winning comedy The Thick of It (BBC2), W1A (BBC2) and Being Human (BBC3). She was also a series regular on Stand Up For the Week (C4), and has appeared on Live at the Apollo (BBC1), Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Mock the Week (BBC), Pointless (BBC) and Don’t Sit on the Front Row (Sky Atlantic). She made her debut on QI (BBC2) in late 2013 and won by a whopping +28 points.
She has received widespread critical acclaim for her previous shows, Sara Pascoe the Musical and Sara Pascoe Vs The Truth. Sara has subsequently toured the latter across Australia and New Zealand, including at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and has been commissioned to make a pilot by BBC Radio 4. Oh, and by the way, if you've come to this page because you googled "is Sara Pascoe married?" no she isn't, but she lives with fellow comedian John Robins.
