Romesh Ranganathan, Sanjeev Bhaskar and Meera Syal are among the celebrities taking part in a video that urges people from ethnic minority communities to get the Covid vaccine.
The video already aired online and you can watch it here. It will now also be broadcasting on Thursday evening at 9.56pm across commercial channels ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5, STV and various Sky TV channels.
The BBC has widely reported the story but cannot air the short film because the corporation's charter prevents it from taking part in campaigns.
Actor/comedian Adil co-ordinated the video. He said: "We are in unprecedented times and the fact remains this pandemic disproportionately affects people from ethnic minority communities.
"It's heartening to see all the major broadcasters come together in an equally unprecedented television broadcast at this crucial time."
In the video Romesh Ranganathan, whose own mother Shanthi had expressed some doubts about taking he vaccine until he and his brother talked to her, says: "There's no chip or tracker in the vaccine to keep watching where you go," says comedian Ranganathan in the film. "Your mobile phone actually does a much better job of that."
Dr Farzana Hussain also appears in the video. She said: "I know it's still early days and I think that's why it's so important to keep repeating the message. I have an 18-year-old-son and he would never take a message from me or a doctor, but when I told him that I was going to be on TV with Romesh, he was so excited about it."
Singer Beverley Knight, heptathlete Denise Lewis, historian David Olusoga and actor Hugh Quarshie are also among the stars in the video tonight.
Adil Ray tweeted: "This some are saying is broadcasting history. We hope it helps. Commercial TV channels unite to screen Covid vaccine myth-busting video. Tonight at the same time 9.56pm @itv @Channel4 @channel5_tv @skytv PLEASE SHARE #takethevaccine"
Romesh Ranganathan also appears on Rob and Romesh Vs on Sky One at 10pm tonight.
