A Lovely Time is a new podcast in which comedian and actress Amy Gledhill (as seen on BBC One, CBBC, Channel 4) interviews comedians about what makes their perfect day.
Series 1 of A Lovely Time features some of the most exciting names from the comedy scene including Maisie Adam (House of Games, BBC One), Ivo Graham (Live at the Apollo, BBC One) , Poppy Hillstead (from hit podcast Poppy Hillstead has Entered the Chat) and Edinburgh Festival Best Show Winner Jordan Brookes - to name but a few.
The idea for the podcast came about when their plans for a new monthly comedy night in Manchester we’re put on hold following the arrival of...(shock twist)... the pandemic. As Amy puts it, “having our big plans for 2021 scuppered was devastating, but then we had the idea of creating a calm, pant-wettingly hilarious oasis to help buoy everyone’s spirits during this tough time”.
The first episodes will be released on Monday 8th March with Poppy Hillstead and Maisie Adam dropping, followed by Jordan Brookes on Wednesday 10th March and then a special double header of Jonny Pelham and Sophie Willan on Friday 12th March. That’s a lot of lovely times! From then on episodes will be released every Monday mornings to help kickstart the working week with 20 episodes planned for the debut season.
