Comedians Sooz Kempner, Marcel Lucont and Toussaint Douglass are just some of the acts taking part in the 2021 Alternative Eurovision Songs Contest, also known as "Euro Ision".
South London art-comedy collective Pinata is partnering with NextUp Comedy to present one night of incredible, explosive songs and home made music videos from the best of comedy’s rising stars.
Now in its second year, 15 top comedy acts representing everywhere from ‘The West Midlands’ to ‘The Sea’ will come together to present their original songs and live chat in this huge finale. The night will also include a bespoke voting system for audiences to take part and vote from home.
Hosted by Sam Lake and featuring new, unseen, original songs from Marcel Lucont (pictured), Sooz Kempner (pictured), Toussaint Douglass, Archie Henderson, Siblings, Shelf, Len Blanco, Helen Duff and many more this is an alternative Eurovision party like no other.
Last year, Euro Ision saw 3.5 thousand people tune in. Comedy acts from all over the ‘globe’ took to the screen to win Douze Points! with their original songs and music videos of Euro musical madness. It was a tight race but Foxdog Studios took the title with their song ‘Visa Application’ and they will return this year for an interval performance.
The Grand Final of the traditional Eurovision Song Contest takes place in Rotterdam on Saturday, May 22 and will be broadcast on BBC One.
