The Cambridge Comedy Festival, set to take place from 9th-11th July in Abbots Ripton, near Huntingdon, is confirmed & going ahead.
Following roadmap restrictions on 21st June being delayed, some minor adjustments to adhere to and follow PHE and Govt guidelines allowing the event to take place have been made - unfortunately the late night Comedians DJ’ing in the Glade and performances on the Lake Stage have gone and overall capacity is reduced, but now legally it’s allowed to go ahead.
Lateral Flow Testing at the entrance gate will not be required & attendees don’t have to wear face masks as it’s outdoors - maximum bubble size of 30 people allowed - although the organisers will create safe bubble square markings in the main arena so people feel safe & comfortable, plus this is an open-air event, which is the safest environment for meeting each other. The festival will still be encouraging Hands/Face/Space at all times.
Due to the reduced capacity the event is nearly sold out, so fans of live stand-up comedy who want to catch acts such as Rob Beckett, Tom Allen, Milton Jones, Dara Ó Briain, Ed Byrne, Gary Delaney, Nina Conti, Al Murray, Reginald D Hunter, Russell Kane plus 100 more acts in what’s going to be the comedy event of the Summer are advised to book sooner rather than later.
