TV Deal For Comic-Turned-Crime-Novelist Ian Moore

Comedian Ian Moore's crime books are to be turned into television shows.

A deal has been signed with production company Free@Last TV, starting with the first book Death & Croissants, about an Englishman running a B&B in rural France – which is what Moore does when he is not gigging.

This is a pretty fast turnaround - the book by Moore was only published at the start of July.

The blurb for the book says: "Richard is a middle-aged Englishman who runs a B&B in Vallée de Folle, a fictional valley in the Loire, France. When one of Richard’s older guests disappears, he is exposed to a mysterious world of crime. Things become really serious when someone murders Ava Gardner, one of his beloved hens. The disappearance of a guest is one thing, but you just don’t mess with a fellow’s hens!"

Ian Moore helps to run a B&B in the Loire Valley where he lives with his Franco-English wife and three children.

He has performed at the Edinburgh Festival and headlined the Reading and Leeds music festivals. He performed in the Just For Laughs’ Britcom showcase in Montreal and went on to headline the Worldcom show at the festival’s finale.
