Marcus Brigstocke's acclaimed live show, Devil May Care, has been released by Amazon.
The performance was filmed at Wilton's Music Hall in front of a live audience just before the pandemic. Rather than traditional straight stand-up Brigstocke plays the character of Satan, taking stock of the state of the world, which was a pretty topsy turvy place even before Covid.
Or as the Amazon Prime blurb puts it: " ‘What IS evil? Who is good and who should burn for all eternity? Lucifer has the answers you seek. The Devil retired from Hell in 2016 when Trump won, but he’s on the board and helps keep the eternal fires ‘sustainably’ hot, he keeps the minions on zero hours contracts and is still trying to decide what’s to be done about Piers Morgan."
The show was directed by Peter Callow.
Since the show was filmed Brigstocke has been busy during various lockdowns doing streamed shows from home with his wife Rachel Parris. He has also recently become a father again.
