Matt Edmondson, Sabrina Grant, Andy Hamilton and Kirsty Wark take on a series of quiz rounds selected by the host, quiz legend Richard Osman.
A daily winner is declared following a quick-fire round at the end of each show, and the scores are tallied across the week, resulting in an overall champion being crowned on Friday.
Will the winning stars opt for the much-coveted House of Games wheelie luggage, or will they be tempted by the House of Games reusable coffee mug, which is brand new for this series?
I wouldn't want to predict a winner - Newsnight presenter Kirsty Wark is clearly pretty sharp but have you have to be quick off the mark and be able to think laterally when it comes to House of Games, which may be why comedians have such a good track record on the show. Previous winners of House of Games have included Mae Martin, Marcus Brigstocke, Mark Watson and in the first show in the current series Olga Koch. Mae Martin won House of Games in a memorable tussle where Patsy Kensit joked that she was going to kill her agent for getting her on the show.
Matt Edmondson will be flying the flag for stand-up this week. Though, of course, Andy Hamilton is a veteran of comedy, having worked over the years on radio hits and telelvision shows ranging from Drop The Dead Donkey (which I used tolove when it went out on Channel 4) to Outnumbered (which was excellent until the kids grew up). He has also toured in his own right and appeared on panel shows so I certainly wouldn't bet against him.
You never really know what is going to happen on Richard Osman's House of Games and that's part of the fun. Sabrina Grant might just nip in and trounce them all..
