The Graham Norton Book Club Returns With Guests Including Dave Grohl, David Sedaris, Miriam Margoyles, Derren Brown, Margaret Atwood, Bernardine Evaristo, Miles Jupp

Audible today launches the return of The Graham Norton Book Club for its second series.

 

Series Two of the chart-topping podcast will see national treasure Graham Norton back in front of the microphone to speak with bestselling authors and beloved narrators about all things literary and audio related. He will be joined once again by alternating co-hosts journalist Alex Clark and author Sara Collins (The Confessions of Frannie Langton), as well as his bookclubbers from across the country, for a mix of book reviews, interviews, reading recommendations, publishing news and more.

 

Guests appearing alongside Graham this series include rock star Dave Grohl, humorist David Sedaris, actress and presenter Miriam Margoyles (Blackadder, Call The Midwife), illusionist Derren Brown, feminist icon Margaret Atwood (The Handmaid’s Tale), bestselling author Matt Haig (The Midnight Library), and actress Celia Imrie (dinnerladies, Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again), with many more still to be announced. Graham will also interview a number of renowned writers about their work, including Val McDermid (1979), Bernardine Evaristo (Manifesto), musician Michelle Zauner (Crying in H Mart: A Memoir), Irish novelist Naoise Dolan (Exciting Times), 2021 Women’s Prize shortlistee Yaa Gyasi (Transcendent Kingdom), comedian Miles Jupp (History), Chilean writer Isabel Allende (The House of the Spirits) and American authors Walter Mosley (Devil in a Blue Dress) and Lisa Taddeo (Animal), among others.

The first series of The Graham Norton Book Club featured guests including comedians Adam Buxton and Matt Lucas, Downton Abbey’s Joanne Froggatt, Bridgerton star Adjoa Andoh, and Green Wing actor Stephen Mangan, as well as authors Zadie Smith, Richard Osman, Marian Keyes, Albert French and more. The Daily Telegraph reviewed The Graham Norton Book Club as “a warm, welcoming, bookish atmosphere and….a happy new addition for any bookworm’s subscription roster”, while The Times said “the sheer star-wattage will surely never be surpassed on a books podcast”.
