Joe Lycett is to host a big Christmas special on C4. He announced the news and asked for contributors via social media.

"I am very, very happy to announce Channel 4 have commissioned a special show which I will host this Christmas.

Mummy's Big Christmas Do! will be a huge 90 minute queer party celebrating LGBTQ+ culture with live music, interviews, stand-up and much more all broadcast live from my home city of Birmingham. We've already booked a ton of amazing guests. Expect drag queens, beloved TV huns, queer icons and allies.

We want the audience to be populated with amazing talents, astonishing outfits and brilliant stories from the queer community in Birmingham and beyond. Can you strut your stuff on a catwalk? Do you have an insane coming out story? Fancy doing your impressive party trick live on TV? I want to know. Email [email protected] with photos if you'd like to be involved*.
