Comedian Harry Hill is one of the guests on this week's edition of Sunday Brunch with Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer.
Former doctor Hill will be talking to his genial hosts about his new autobiography, Fight!: Thirty Years Not Quite at the Top, in which he recalls the ups and downs of his lengthy showbiz career.
Hill is currently on a book tour but in keeping with his madcap persona it is not a typical book tour where you hear the celebrity read a few paragraphs while you sip a glass of dubious house plonk.
Instead Hill will be showing clips from his video archive. He filmed a lot of footage during the early days of his career and is now sharing those clips, including some lovely previously unseen footage of the late Sean Lock, who was a big influence on Hill when he was starting out. Hill wrote a very moving piece about his friend when Lock died, calling him 'the comedian’s comedian who took us all by surprise’.
Hill wrote:"The last time I was on a standup bill with him was at a benefit for some good cause or other. I hadn’t seen him live for a while and made sure I stood in the wings to watch his act. He had a crazily funny routine about winning a night out with Madonna: a beautiful bit of material which involved Sean scuttling about back and forth on stage – he was a lovely mover." Also appearing on Sunday Brunch this week are singers Gregory Porter and Joss Stone, former Spurs star and England football manager Glenn Hoddle who also appeared on Top of the Pops singing Diamond Lights, and Lolita Chakrabati.
