Bristol Comedy Festival Launches

After a two year delay, the launch of a brand-new Comedy Festival in the heart of Bristol is finally set to take place in Spring 2022.

The one-day event will run across three venues on Sunday 15th May and feature over 24 hours worth of Fringe comedy previews from the likes of Rosie Jones, Stuart Goldsmith, and Helen Bauer.

Burt Williamson and Andrew White who have organised the afternoon of shows were keen to offer a festival like this to Bristol’s bustling grassroots comedy scene, which has grown and strengthened since lockdown restrictions lifted earlier this year.

“Every week the city is filled with extremely talented acts performing in lovely spaces to supportive audiences, and Bristol Comedy Festival will showcase that”

“There’s an exciting mix of TV names, rising stars, and local heroes, with all shows priced at just £6. There’s only a limited amount of seating in each venue and we hope to capture an exciting fringe feel with packed out smaller rooms.”

Catherine Bohart and Marlon Davis kick off the afternoon at 1pm, and right up until the last 8:30pm show there’ll be a huge variety of acts including Sara Barron, Harriet Kemsley, Pierre Novellie, Jess Fostekew, and Sarah Keyworth.

Tickets are sold individually (all £6 / £9 on the door) with 4 shows running simultaneously in a time slot across The ExchangeTo The Moon, and The Stag & Hounds – all within a five minutes’ walk of each other in Bristol’s Old Market.
