The Jonathan Ross Show – Guests Stephen Merchant, Jeremy Clarkson, Riz Ahmed and More

Jonathan Ross Show Guests This Week

This week on The Jonathan Ross Show the guests are Sting, who will be chatting and performing in the studio, alongside Oscar-nominated actor Riz Ahmed, outspoken farmer Jeremy Clarkson, and the hilarious Stephen Merchant, star and writer of the acclaimed BBC drama Outlaws. Gary Barlow and Sheridan Smith will also be chatting and performing their much-anticipated festive duet.

There's a nice mix of guests this week and it's interesting to see Stephen Merchant on the show. The co-creator of The Office with Ricky Gervais did a fair number of interviews at the start of his new BBC series The Outlaws and it really has exceeded expectations, being both very funny and very dramatic. and it's not every day you see the legendary Christopher Walken sweeping up rubbish on a Bristol building site.

It's the last episode this week which reportedly includes a moment where Walken's character, doing cmmunity service, paints over an original Banksy and destroys it – a rat with a can of spray paint with the words “Banksy” written above it. Banksy, who is from Bristol, painted it just for the series. But if that's the case how did they contact the elusive artist to ask him to do it?

The final episode of The Outlaws is this Monday at 9pm on BBC One. Merchant is also in a new Christmas film, A Boy Called Christmas.

Jeremy Clarkson will be talking about Clarkson's Farm, on Amazon Prime, which has won the controversial outspoken former Top Gear presenter a whole load of new fans. Clarkson has said he narrowly escaped losing his leg in an accident on his farm, saying he "didn't walk properly for a week". Farming has more accidents "than all the other industries put together", he reportedly told Ross.

Clarkson has a new book out, Diddly Squat: A Year on the Farm, and said: “I got this thing called a telehandler, it’s like a JCB thing. I thought, ‘I’ll just use its front to push the [fence] post in. It got halfway into the ground and the fence was leaning on it and it flicked back. How it didn’t take my leg off... I didn’t walk properly for a week. This was a quarter of a tonne of fence post.”
