Jonathan Ross Show Guests This Week

Jonathan Ross Show Guests This Week

Jonathan Ross's guests this week are music legend Sir Elton John, beaming in from one of his homes, while in the studio are the hilarious Rob Brydon, former Strictly contestant and Loose Women presenter Judi Love, plus the multi-platinum selling Craig David, who will be chatting and performing with one of the hottest acts in the country, MNEK.

I'm particularly looking forward to seeing Rob Brydon. The Would I Lie To You? host played the London Palladium recently and I was unable to go, but the show had great reviews. Brydon seems particularly good at straddling old school light entertainment and a knowing, self-mocking yet withering post-modern wink to the audience. He's like Bruce Forsyth with added self-deprecation.

Brydon is probably best known as the host of WILTY. He's going on tour soon with David Mitchell and Lee Mack although it isn't a WILTY show. But it would be great if he did more instalments of The Trip with Steve Coogan. They make a great double act and it's always a pleasure to see Brydon doing some of his showbiz impressions. Maybe Jonathan Ross can coax a Ronnie Corbett, Tom Jones or Michael Caine out of him during their interview.

Also appearing on the show is Judi Love, although I'm pretty impressed that she found the time to get to the studio. Love is one of the most in-demand talnts at the moment. Following a stint on Loose Women and Strictly Come Dancing she was recently announced as one of the contestants on the next series of Taskmaster on C4. The series has already been filmed and is due for transmission next year. All this and she has had Covid too...

Ross is on pretty good form at the moment, giving Graham Norton a run for his money in the chat show stakes. Sir Elton John is always good value and Craig David has plenty to talk about too.
