This really is an interesting line-up for this week's Richard Osman's House of Games Champion of Champions show for a number of reasons.
First up we've got Angela Barnes, who in November 2020 was the first player to win all five episodes to win her week outright easily. She won so convincingly some people on social media at the time even started to suggest that Barnes was holding back when she knew the answers because her dominance was becoming awkward. This time though the Mock The Week star is up against some formidable opponents but I still wouldn't bet against Barnes.
American comic Kemah Bob also created something of a social media stir when she won her episode last September. Some viewers commented on the way the comedian from Houston, Texas, sounded and some even wondered if she was putting on her voice as it sounded like she was pretending to have a cartoon voice. In fact yes, it's her genuine voice, her real voice. In the end though Bob won over rude, insensitive viewers with her brains and also her distinctive sartorial style.
Then for the final two contestants taking part this week it's a family affair. Comedian Beattie Edmondson is the daughter of Jennifer Saunders and Ade Edmondson and Ade Edmondson just happens to be the fourth champion this week. The veteran comedian who has also appeared in Star Wars seems to like appearing on quiz shows. He was recently seen in a celebrity edition of University Challenge, evoking memories of Scumbag College among viewers of a certain age.
Who will win the special daily golden prizes and precious trophy dished out by smooth talking Richard Osman? Who knows - but they are all already champions.
