Dawn French will star in panto at the London Palladium this Christmas. 

She will play Dame Trott, Jack's mum in Jack And The Beanstalk.

The £2 million show will run for five weeks and will also star Julian Clary, Paul Zerdin, Nigel Havers and Gary Wilmot.

'We've waited two years,' she said in a statement about bringing the panto into the Palladium.

Jack and the Beanstalk opens on December 10 and runs until January 15. Buy tickets here.

French has also announced that she will be touring this autumn with a brand new solo show, ‘Dawn French Is A Huge Twat’.  Dawn will tour the UK from 15 September, opening at Peterborough’s New Theatre and then perform a further 19 shows across the country until 16 October.
