Jason Byrne has announced his new UK tour, UNBLOCKED, which hits the road this autumn. The tour will kick off on 15 September at The Stand in Newcastle, following a run at the Edinburgh Festival in August. Jason will then play a further 30 dates around the UK, before culminating at The Lowry in Salford on 27 November.
Jason Byrne has not only had his heart unblocked and been given a new lease of life, but his whole career has been unblocked too! The constipation of Covid has been cleared, live entertainment has been colonically irrigated and readied up for us all. The bans from social media platforms have been lifted and Jason is back dishing up platters of fun to everyone. Join Jason live on stage as he unleashes what he does best. Guaranteed, pure and utter UNBLOCKED joy and laughter. This guarantee is not guaranteed.
Jason says: “I’m unblocked and ready to go! My arteries are unblocked, I’ve been unblocked from TikTok and other social media, my brain is flowing at full capacity and I’m finally ready to unleash the full potential that is JASON BYRNE.”
Byrne’s very own brand of organised chaos and near legendary stock-in-trade audience participation has seen him coined “the outright king of live comedy” by The Times. It is no surprise that he is the biggest selling comedian at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where Unblocked will run at the Underbelly, McEwan Hall from 3rd - 28th August.
Jason’s career has seen him awarded the UK Radio industry’s prestigious Sony Radio Gold Award for his Radio 2 show. He has hosted his own chat show ‘Jason Byrne’s Snaptastic Show’ for TV3 in Ireland and co-presented ‘Wild Things’ on Sky One.
TV appearances include Royal Variety Performance, The Graham Norton Show, Live at the Apollo (BBC One), his own show, Anonymous in Ireland and John Bishop Christmas Show (BBC One). Byrne is also a highly sought after TV regular in Australia. He has appeared on the prestigious Melbourne International Comedy Festival televised galas and The Great Debate as well as Network Ten’s The Project and NZ’s top-rating 7Days on TV3.
