Richard Osman's House Of Games Guests This Week

Richard Osman might be leaving daytime Pointless but he's sticking with House of Games, probably because it is so much fun. This week's guests are Alex Beresford, Gavin & Stacey star Mathew Horne, Martel Maxwell and comedian Chloe Petts.

Matthew Horne is best known as one of the stars of Gavin & Stacey but he recently popped up on our screens in the Gold comedy, Newark, Newark alongside Morgana Robinson in which he played a much more scruffy, older character looking for love.

Chloe Petts is a rising star of the comedy firmanent. She has not done much television but she was  on ITV’s Jonathan Ross’s Comedy Club and Dave’s Hypothetical. I saw her do a live show at the How The Light Gets In Festival in north London last year which bodes well for her stand-up future. It also bodes well for this quiz as she proved to be a sharp, smart quick thinker – you have to be when you are doing a gig in the venue cafe/bookshop with people walking in and buying drinks and crisps while you are performing...

Petts was shortlisted for the BBC Comedy Award, was a finalist of Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year Awards 2017 and was runner-up in the Funny Women Awards 2017. She supported Ed Gamble on his 2022 UK Tour Electric.

She is a co-founder of The Lol Word, a queer comedy collective that hosts sell-out monthly London nights, boasting the finest female and non-binary queer acts on the circuit.

Good Morning Britain presenter/weatherman Alex Beresford recently revealed he has got engaged and plans to marry his girlfriend Imogen McKay after proposing on New Year’s Day while they were on holiday in Majorca.

Homes Under The Hammer presenter Martel Maxwell was born in Dundee in Scotland and studied law at university before becoming a showbiz reporter in her seven years at the Sun.
