The stars of the classic children's TV series Tiswas have reunited for an appearance at the Bristol Slapstick Festival.
Chris Tarrant, Sally James, John Gorman and Bob Carolgees were among those that took to the stage for this special event.
Bob Carolgees, now suffering from carpel tunnel syndrome, presenting what he predicted would be the final appearance by Spit The Dog.
Sally James unmasked the Phantom flan Flinger, who turned out to be retired Birmingham taxi driver Benny Mills, now 87 – after he’d made a boyhood dream come true for event chair Andrew Kelly, the director of Bristol Idea, by flanning him.
The Four Bucketeers (Chris Tarrant, Sally James, Bob Carolgees and John Gorman) leading an audience singalong of the chart-making The Bucket of Water Song - with buckets and impressive amounts of water.
Penkridge fireman Matthew Lewis reprised the performance of the Watership Down theme BRIGHT EYES he gave as a five year old in 1980 accompanied by his daughter Nova, five, wearing the original costume.
The event concluded with The Four Bucketeers and Phantom Flan Flinger receiving the Slapstick Comedy Legacy Medal, honouring entertainers who continue the comedy traditions of the silent film era.
Tiswas: The Reunion was a co-production by Bristol’s Slapstick Festival and Bristol Ideas and was a fund-raiser for Childen’s Hospice South West.
