Rachel Fairburn, Des Clarke, Trevor Nelson and Kimberley Nixon are the guests taking part in Richard Osman's fiendish and funny quiz in which contestants battle it our for various prizes with Osman's face on them. Last week's winner, by the way, was Gavin and Stacey star Mathew Horne, who pipped Comedian Chloe Petts to the star prize.
Rachel Fairburn is a rising star of the Mancunian comedy firmament who has a great line in observational humour as well as a darker side – she co-hosts the podcast about serial killers All Killa No Filla with Kiri Pritchard-McLean. As you can see from the picture, Fairburn (far left) has a fondness for leopard print items of clothing. Fairburn tweeted: "Love this show so was thrilled to be on it!"
Fairburn once said in an interview that her father was a bit of a mystery: "I know absolutely nothing about him apart from his name, date of birth and the fact that he is Welsh. He's not an absent father or anything, he's still married to my mum and I see him loads but he's just such a closed book. I don't mean this in a bad way either, he just never tells us anything about himself. I'm positive that he will one day tell us something incredible like he knows what happened to Shergar or he's actually Jesus."
Des Clarke is a panel show host himself, chairing the long-running BBC Scotland topical quiz, Breaking The News. In his two decades in comedy Clarke has hosted big gigs and small gigs, including the 2014 Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony, as he told the British Comedy Guide: "One billion people watching on TV. 50,000 in the live crowd at Hampden Park. Kylie Minogue, Usain Bolt, The Royal Family and a field full of scotty dogs. The best atmosphere I've ever experienced. No cue cards, no autocue. And an infinitely much easier gig than the one I had the week after - MC'ing Jongleurs Nottingham."
The comics are up against veteran DJ Nelson and Cranford star Kimberley Nixon. This week's tipster tip? Rachel Fairburn.
Richard Osman's House Of Games, Monday, April 18 to Friday, April 22, 6pm, BBC Two.
