Good to see Kiell Smith-Bynoe on Sunday Brunch today. In recent years he has become a regular face on TV comedy shows. It's a fairly safe bet that if Kiell Smith-Bynoe is in a show it is going to be a critically acclaimed hit show.
He is probably best known as one of the stars of Ghosts, but he has also been in Stath Lets Flats, playing one of the employees of Stath's Lettings Agency. And he is now the star of his very own comedy pilot as part of C4's Comedy Blaps. It is described as "a fast-paced and ridiculous free fall into a wide range of sketchy situations ... fun, dumb and discombobulating", the show "reflects the modern world we live in but not quite the way you'd imagine".
He also guested in the BBC Three sketch show, Lazy Susan, which was partof the BBC Three relaunch earlier this year.
Smith-Bynoe has also received great reviews for his recent foray into live comedy as half of spoof children's entertainers String v Spitta alongside Ed MacArthur (Murder for Two, Stack). String Vs SPITTA is a musical comedy about two rival children’s entertainers, but for adults. When it comes to children's entertainment, nobody does it better than Sylvester ‘Silly’ String – a charming classical virtuoso and top dog in the lucrative West London kids’ parties’ market, every kid within a 5-mile radius of the Kings Road wants Silly String and his Silly Songs...until SPITTA comes along. SPITTA is a Grime-obsessed maverick from East London who’s shaken up the scene and quickly become the talk of the Kensington playgrounds.
Also appearing on Sunday Brunch are Hullraisers star Leah Brotherhood, wimpy popsters Belle And Sebastian, Boy George, who I don't think has ever given a dull interview in the last forty years and DJ Sara Cox.
Plus food and drink and music to help you get over your Sunday morning hangover.
Sunday Brunch, Sunday, May 8, 9.30am.
