Following the success of the recent Soiree in a Cemetery featuring Stewart Lee, Adamotions in association with Pull The Other One is putting together a second Soiree in an unrevealed location. Soirée Subterranea will take place on November 29 in and will be hosted by madcap comic Phil Kay.
The first event took place in a Tower Hamlets graveyard. This one will take place in a secret underground chamber in zone 2 (details released on the day). It is inspired by the Hellfire Club of Sir Francis Dashwood and the double lives of the 18th Century’s political elite.
Visitors will be ordained into the sacred order of the Monks of Bernaise and immersed in the tawdry brotherhood. Afterwards they will be invited into the monastery’s mess and will receive the sacraments of Hellfire Stew and Absinthe before descending in to the dark subterranean chamber where the ritual takes place.
Chief Abbot, Phil of Kay and his cast of 12 monks will lead his devoted audience through an evening of the sacred and profane in equal measures.
