=Peter Kay To Tour Again?

The Sun has reported that Peter Kay is planning to tour again for the first time after cancelling his arena tour.

In 2017 he issued a statement saying that he was cancelling all upcoming work: "This decision has not been taken lightly and I'm sure you'll understand that my family must always come first."

He added: "I've always endeavoured to protect my family's privacy from the media. I hope that the media and the public will continue to respect our privacy at this time. Once again I'm very sorry."

According to the latest story the tour will include major gigs in London, Manchester and Birmingham.

A scource told the tabloid: “He has lined up huge venues across the country including in Manchester, London and Birmingham and is hoping to announce it in September. Peter has not performed a live stand-up set on a big stage in well over a decade now but he could not be more ready to get back out there.”

Kay's only live apearances in recent years have been at two charity Q&A shows in Manchester for brain cancer patient Laura Nuttall and DJing at Dance For Life events.

At the charity shows he got a rapturous response and said: "I've never in my life had a standing ovation when I came on. I'm going to go away for four more years."

Answering questions from the audience he said that he had written two Christmas special episodes of his hit C4 show Max and Paddy, co-starring Paddy McGuinness, but that they had never got round to making them.
