The street party will be free but there will be collections for the Islington Giving, a local charity that focuses on child poverty and other disadvantages in Islington Borough. Ferns said, "We've always been a community pub so we're really happy to support the local community with this."
Fellow director James O'Donnell said, "We've got permission from the Po Po, so no feds will be busting up this party! It's gonna slap hard." O'Donnell later admitted to never having been to a village fete.
So far the street party will feature Aisling Bea, Abandoman, John Kearns, Sindhu Vee (filming dependent), as well as a few other surprises. Ferns said, "We want to combine the time honoured British tradition of any excuse for a drink in the sunshine with a weird and whimsical experience that should be unforgettable. Any rumour that comedians just wanted to feel like the Beatles by performing on the roof should be quashed immediately."
Angel Comedy started as a night above the Camden Head pub, before becoming so popular it has to expand to seven nights a week. This lead to a crowd funding campaign where comedians and audiences chipped in to get the lease on what is now the Bill Murray pub, the world's only Comedy club owned and run by comedians for comedians. The club has a reputation for being where big name comedians build their shows. In recent years you could have seen Eddie Izzard, Nish Kumar, Bridget Christie, James Acaster, Maria Bamford, Stewart Lee, Kevin Bridges, Romesh Ranganathan, Mae Martin and many more.
