The line-up for this week's run of Richard Osman's House of Games is comedians Mark Watson and Josie Lawrence, Raj Bisram and Laura Whitmore (who is married to comedian Iain Stirling).
In case this all sounds eerily familiar that's because this week's episode first aired in 2021. But fans need not panic that there will not be any more new House of Games, Richard Osman recently tweeted that more filming has been taking place. Osman is quitting daytime editions of Pointless to allow him to do more best-selling crime novels but he is sticking with House of Games.
What is new though is that Richard Osman has recently revealed in an interview in the Observer that he is set to marry his girlfriend Ingrid Oliver, who used to be in double act Watson and Oliver and previously guested on House of Games herself.
Comedians usually do amazingly well on the programme, with Angela Barnes winning all five of her episodes (and then winning a Champions episode too) and Isy Suttie also being the overall victor when when she appeared in November. Josie Long also won her week in December. Tim Key was the overall winner at the start of 2021 and previous winners in this series include Neil Delamere, Rufus Hound and Stephen Mangan.
Of course, you can google to find out if a comedian – or a comedian's wife – wins this week, but take it from me that won't be as much fun as actually watching the show.
