Now entering its sixth year, the British Podcast Awards has a history of highlighting the true breadth of UK podcasting. Previous big winners have included George the Poet, Chris and Rosie Ramsey, David Walliams, Deborah Frances-White and Greg James with podcasts ranging from My Dad Wrote A Porno and Dear Joan and Jericha to Brown Girls Do It Too and The Guardian’s Today in Focus.
This year over 250 nominees over 30 categories will be vying to win one of the coveted red trophies. The judging panel, chaired by Emily Maitlis and Jon Sopel, listened to 319 hours of podcasts. With over 1200 entries submitted, these nominations come with prestige.

Off Menu with Ed Gamble and James Acaster - Plosive Podcasts and Pappy's Flatshare Slamdown are nominated in the Best Live category. James Acaster's Perfect Sounds is in the Arts and Culture category.
The winners will be announced on Saturday 23rd July.
