Channel 4 comedy We Are Lady Parts and comedian Liz Kingsman are among the winners of thr South Bank Sky Arts awards, announced today.

We Are Lady Parts won the Best Comedy category and Liz Kingsman won Breakthrough Act for her acclaimed comedy One Woman Show.

Other awards were won by Leeds-based Opera North, rapper Little Simz and novelist Monica Ali. It's A Sin bagged Best TV Drama.

Best of Enemies won Best Drama and Tamara Rojo won the Outstanding Achievement Award

Channel 4 has already announced a second series of We Are Lady Parts, which follows the career of a muslim punk band. Liz Kingsman is due to perform her show at the Traverse Theatre during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August. The award was presented to Kingsmsn by Eddie Izzard.
