The comedy world has shown their support for fellow stand-up Rhod Gilbert, who has revealed that he is being treated in the Velindre Cancer Centre.
Gilbert has raised money for the centre in the past. He wrote on Facebook: "I’ve trekked the world, hosted chaotic quizzes and star-studded comedy nights. I’ve met and made friends with so many inspirational staff, patients and their families. It has been a huge part of my life for the last ten years. So while I never imagined that I would be a patient here, I know better than anyone that I am in the best possible hands. The NHS care I’m receiving is incredible."
Comic Dave Fulton wrote on Gilbert's FB page: "Love ya buddy. Stay strong and I’ll take you out for a proper climb when you’re ready."

Tim Whatley paid tribute to Gilbert's support for the cancer centre: "You hosted a quiz on zoom whilst I was a patient of velindre we took part and it was amazing! Velindre Cancer Centre is such an amazing place and the staff are so positive day after day. Good luck on your quest to become cancer free once again! Stay positive because that rally helps"
