Richard Osman's House Of Games Line-Up This Week

Last week comedian Charlie Baker kept up the record of comedians winning House of Games. This week is is up to Eddie Kadi to keep up the track record of triumphant stand-ups. Kadi is up against Natasha Raskin Sharp, Charlie Stayt and Faye Tozer. No pressure then.

Kadi might not be a household name in every household but he has a major following on the live stand-up club circuit. I've even seen him compere a Mo Gilligan gig at the 02 in 2021. And a decade earlier he hired the venue and headlined a gig there himself to prove that black comics had the pulling power to play such a big venue.

Kadi is also soon to be seen on TV in his own Channel 4 series, Crazy Rich Ghanaians. Think playground for Idris Elba, Naomi Campbell, Ed Sheeran and Liam Payne and you might think Monaco, St Barts or maybe even Hvar, but you probably don’t think Accra. After Crazy Rich... Ghanaians, you just might. That’s because there’s a little seen side of the West African nation, where the glitzy, glamorous and beautiful set hang out. Follow comedian Eddie Kadi as he becomes our tour guide and ticket into this exclusive world, full of rich culture, history and phenomenal access.

Joined for the ride by another famous comedian mate who’s a first-time visitor to Ghana, Eddie’s taking them and us behind-the-scenes of this high-end, mega-rich, uber-luxe side of Ghana, whilst also digging deep into the beauty of the country’s culture and history. Eddie knows all the places worth going and all the people worth knowing, from lavish retreats and extravagant restaurants to billionaire business stories of success, innovators, multi-millionaire playboys and Afrobeats megastars.

Meanwhile back on House of Games Kadi is playing against some tough opponents. Charle Stayt is one of the BBC's Breakfast presenters you so need to get up early in the morning to be sharper than him. Faye Tozer is most famous for being a memmber of pop group Steps, but don't underestimate her or you might regret it. And Natasha Raskin Sharp is a Scottish antiques expert who is best known for her appearances on shows includng Celebrity Antiques Road Trip and Flog it!

Richard Osman's House of Games, Daily from Monday, September 26, BBC Two, 6pm.
