John Bishop is to do panto this Christmas. He will be appearing in Mother Goose. Ian McKellen will play the title role and Bishop will play Mother Goose's husband Vic. Mel Giedroyc will also star.

Before the official announcement Bishop hinted at the project on Twitter: "Egg-cellant view from The Londoner Hotel where we have egg-citing news later - and I am not egg-agerating !! OK its something to do with eggs ......"

Mother Goose and Vic live a wholesome life, but when a magical goose (Giedroyc) comes a-knocking, will fame & fortune get the better of them?
