Strong line-up on Sunday Brunch this week with guests including Josh Widdicombe and Sue Perkins.
Josh Widdicombe had a huge sucess in lockdown with his Parentin Hell podcast which he co-hosts with Rob Beckett. It has been such a success the duo have wrtitten a book which is out this month. And next year they head out on a UK tour playing arenas. They would've toured sooner but these were the earliest available dates. More details about the tour here.
Widdicombe recently found out that he was related to Henry VIII on Who Do You Think You Are? He is also famous as one of the co-presenters of The Last Leg alongside Alex Brooker and Adam Hills.
Sue Perkins has a new travel series coming to netflix. This is a more adult one than the usual Palin-style variants so it's not clear how much she can talk about it on a morning show. Perkins was also on who Do You Think You Are? in which she found out the, like her comedy partner Mel Giedroyc, she has a small town in Lithuania named after her.
Also on Sunday Brunch, presented by the usual team of Simon Rimmer and Tim Lovejoy, is Ian Broudie of The Lightning Seeds and probably most famous for Three Lions with David Baddiel and Frank Skinner. Broudie was a lynchpin of the Liverpool post-punk scene playing in bands with people who went on to be part of Frankie Goes To Hollywood and having a successful solo career in his own right as a musician and a producer.
Plus Mollie King and Callum Scott Howells, who made such a splash in the Channel 4 drama It's A Sin and is about to star in the acclaimed stage version of Cabaret. Gavin rossdale from Bush is also on the show.
Sunday Brunch, Sunday, October 16, 9.30am, C4. With Sue Perkins.
