After nearly a two year break, Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Mat Ewins and current Taskmaster contestant John Kearns are back with a new series of their cult comedy podcast Microscope.
Starting this Friday – just in time for Halloween – the pair of award-winning comedians are putting more of the world’s biggest mysteries under the Microscope in an attempt to explain the unexplainable, with Ewins interviewing Kearns in the guise of a different character each week. Expect stories about self-driving cars, football teams from hell and an alien exchange programme.
Mat Ewins said: ‘Super excited to catch up with John, and after two years of honing my video editing skills and creating bespoke video games I can’t wait to get back to doing what I do best - improvised audio podcasts.’
John Kearns said: ‘I am delighted that these interviews are finally being made available to the public. These recordings will be pivotal in helping the next generation understand the world, its mysteries and everything in between.’
Series 3 of Microscope starts this Friday, 28th October, and is available to listen to on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Acast and all the usual podcast platforms.
More live Microscope shows are due to be announced soon: follow @MicroscopeFun for updates.
Microscope is produced by Plosive – the team behind award-winning podcasts including Off Menu with Ed Gamble and James Acaster, Nobody Panic, Cuddle Club with Lou Sanders, The Rob Auton Daily Podcast and Harry Hill’s Noise.
