Richard Osman's House of Games Guests This Week

Kriss Akabusi, Grace Dent, Tim Lovejoy and Lauren Steadman are the guests competing for Richard Osman's prizes with his face on them this week.

Yes, that's right, there are no comedians on this week's show. Maybe the producers have just momentarily run out of comedians to ask or maybe they have decided to give some other celebrities a chance to have Richard Osman's face on their travel luggage. Comedians have a fantastic track record on this show. Recent winners include Kevin Eldon, Justin Moorhouse, Charlie Baker and Rob Deering.

And, of course, Angela Barnes became the first contestant to win all five episodes back in 2020. Barnes then went on to win her champions edition, though didn't quite win every episode on that occasion.

So this week's guests include restaurant critic Grace Dent, whose witty reviews in the Guardian always make my mouth water. Dent's reviews often talk about her growing up near Carlisle. she is a terrific writer who really makes me want to try out the restaurants she recommeneds – I even want to try the ones she says are bad to see if they really are as bad as she says.

Kriss Akabusi is a former athlete who has become something of an all-round TV personality these days. Tim Lovejoy made his name as one of the hosts of Sky's Soccer AM though these days he is known as the co-host of Sunday Brunch on Channel 4 alongside Simon Rimmer, who won House of Games in December. No pressure on Lovejoy then.

Lauren Steadman is a British Paralympic athlete who has competed in four Summer Paralympics, in both swimming and the paratriathlon.

Hard to pick a wunner then. If only there was a stand-up my money would be on them any day.
