Filmed in front of a live studio audience in the week of transmission, The Chris & Rosie Ramsey Show will see the always up-for-a-laugh, always startlingly honest husband and wife presenting duo joined by more celebrity couples to poke fun at life, relationships, annoyances, parenting and absolutely everything in between.
Nominated for a 2023 National Comedy Award (alongside The Graham Norton Show and Taskmaster), the show saw 6.7 million people watching the first series on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer (11% of the total TV audience).
Much-loved couples who shared their relationship highs and, let’s face it most importantly, their ‘BEEFS’, included: Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo (with Jamie confessing he pictured Dame Judi Dench when in bed), Martin and Shirlie Kemp (Martin said he fancied Shirlie most when she's at home in the garden in her wellies), Craig Revel Horwood and Jonathan Myring (Craig revealed being single was a disaster for him as online dates only wanted to access his Strictly co-stars – luckily all ending when he met fiancé Jonathan, who had no idea he was even famous), Martine McCutcheon and Jack McManus, Tom and Giovanna Fletcher and Fleur East with husband Marcel Badiane-Robin.
With other popular elements of the show also regularly threatening to steal the limelight including Lou Sanders' infamous appearance (also going viral with 4.7 million views on Facebook and 3.2 million on TikTok) on Please Keep Me Anonymous where a well-known face reads out some terrifying audience confessions. Or It Goes Or I Go, where audience members compete to rid themselves of something their loved one just refuses to remove from the house and, where, memorably, Ronan Keating made a surprise appearance joining a Boyzone mega-fan on stage to smash up some of her prized memorabilia.
The couple’s hit podcast Sh**ged.Married.Annoyed. has seen over 145 million downloads to date, it spawned a Sunday Times #1 best-selling book and broke the Guinness world record for the biggest live podcast show – in London alone they sold out The O2 Arena, Wembley Arena and The Palladium, as well as other arenas around the UK including (of course) Newcastle Arena.
Set for another major arena tour this year the show has won multiple awards including two National Comedy Awards for Best Podcast, a Global Award for Best Podcast and British Podcast Awards for Listeners’ Choice and Best Entertainment.
On television Chris is known for: memorably coming second on Taskmaster; being a popular semi-finalist of 2019's Strictly Come Dancing; co-hosting the BBC’s iconic Children In Need three years in a row; hosting BBC One’s prime time Little Mix: The Search; regularly guest hosting The One Show; as well as hosting The Chris Ramsey Show and Chris Ramsey's Stand Up Central.
Rosie’s infectious personality and quick wit have led to her to appearing in the most recent Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special and The Great British Sewing Bee, with other recent television appearances including The Wheel and Robson Green’s Weekend Escapes. Before the podcast and television success Rosie co-hosted the drive-time show on Capital North East. As a couple Chris & Rosie have appeared on many of the UK’s biggest shows including Michael McIntyre’s Big Show (Midnight Gameshow) and The Graham Norton Show.
