Soho Shows For Jake Lambert

Soho Shows For Jake Lambert

Jake Lambert brings his latest show Liminal to Soho Theatre.

A show about identity, friendship, culture wars, and epilepsy, but dont worry theres also jokes. Plenty of jokes.

A friendly encounter with a stranger at a baseball game in New York seemed perfectly innocuous at the time, but when that stranger became a friend on social media it lead Jake down a rabbit hole of far-right political opinions, and extreme views. This resulted in Jake questioning the way we judge people and what makes a person who they are. But discovering the darker side to someones personality whilst simultaneously finding a friend he hadnt spoken to in over 10 years leaves Jake wanting to figure out one big question; is the internet making people more connected than ever, or pulling us apart? But as mentioned before, theres also jokes, plenty of jokes.

With three acclaimed sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Jake is quickly establishing a name for himself. His combination of one-liners, short stories and unique observations have seen him appear on shows on The BBC, Comedy Central, Dave, ITV, and ITV2 as well on stages up and down the country supporting Michael McIntyre, Jack Dee, Romesh Ranganathan, Kerry Godliman, Tom Allen, Seann Walsh and Rob Beckett.

You can see Jake on screen, on stage, and online; in just 3 months his videos have collected over 75 million views on Tiktok and Instagram. His excellent joke writing has made him a firm favourite for TV shows. Having written the opening monologues for The National Comedy Awards, The Apprentice: Youre Fired, and The Royal Variety Performance.

He has also written sketches for Stand Up To Cancer, and provided jokes on shows including; The Ranganation, Bake Off Extra Slice, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Mock The Week, The Now Show, The News Quiz, Theres Something About Movies, Complaints Welcome, and Cooking With The Stars.
