The Ventnor Fringe, on the Isle of Wight, has announced its line-up for 2023.

The rising arts festival, which features gigs, comedy and theatre in pop up venues throughout the dramatic cliff-top town of Ventnor the Isle of Wight, will return from 21st -30th July 2023.

Comedy is well represented at the festival with Richard Herring, Sophie Duker, Geoff Norcott and Olga Koch all making the trip to the Island.

Spanning 10 days and hosting hundreds of performers, Ventnor Fringe offers a miniature Edinburgh experience at the opposite end of the UK, attracting a mix of artists previewing work before they head to Scotland or those looking for a more intimate alternative.

Other comedians who will be presenting new work include Ahir Shah, Janine Harouni, Garrett Millerick, Helen Bauer, Vittorio Angelone, Paul McCaffrey, Heidi Regan, Glenn Moore, Huge Davies, Ania Magliano, Josh Baulf, Freya Parker, Sara Barron, Luke Kempner, Joe Wells and Rob Auton among many others.

Other comedy acts to look out for include a live recording of hit podcast Drunk Women Solving Crime, the anarchic Mr Thing Show and improv groups like Impromptu Shakespeare.

The Isle of Wight is connected by more than 75 ferry crossings daily from Southampton, Portsmouth and Lymington. Set in the heart of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the festival offers a great base from which to explore a stunning coastline.
