The Stand has launched their new and improved website, making it easier to buy tickets for even more huge names in comedy and beyond that will join their Fringe 2023 roster. Most are available to buy from right now, and others from Thursday May 11th alongside EdFringe.com’s third batch release of tickets.
Being added are appearances by: Mark Thomas; Darren McGarvey; Filmmaker Ken Loach who appears as part of Fair Pley’s ‘In Conversation…’ strand; Simon Munnery; and Eleanor Morton. The club’s offering during the Edinburgh Festival fringe in August comprises 4 rooms around York Place and The Stand’s New Town Theatre on 96 George Street.
Also newly announced are the likes of Dave Hill, Bruce Fummey and The Judy and Duncan Murray Show, The Gargle: Live by the team behind the hugely popular Bugle podcast, and an Indonesian comedy showcase called (Far) East Meets West.
The Stand’s Marketing Officer, Louis Cammell, says: “With even more shows to come, I can confidently say that the programme this year is quintessential Stand; quality comedy that ranges from the hard-hitting, to rousing, to jaw-achingly silly. We’re pleased to say an increased presence both online and in print will help newcomers and veterans alike to navigate what’s on offer which has increased from last year to cover even more venues. Prospective punters should look out for our brochure across town in July or take a look at the handsome new site for more.”
The list of new additions also includes the likes of recent Glasgow International Comedy Festival favourites David Kay and Jim Smith, character comedy from Bob Doolally, internet sensation Serena Terry and Alan Bissett’s Moira Monologues. Most are on-sale here right now (May 8th) and all from edfringe.com from May 11th.
All Stand Comedy Club Fringe tickets will be available to buy here.
