Viggo Venn has won this series of Britain's Got Talent. The prize is £250,000 and an appearance at this year's Royal Variety Performance.
In the final Venn performed along to the song Popcorn by Hot Butter by flexing his biceps and then queezed himself into a giant balloon, inviting Simon Cowell onstage to pop it. He then presented Simon Cowell with a gift which turned out to be one of his trademark hi-vis vests, with Simon's name on it.
The bookmakers had made the Norwegian comedian second favourite behind Musa Motha, who sadly did not make the final three in the live TV show broadcast from the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith and hosted by Ant and Dec.
Venn previously wowed the judges when he first appeared in his distinctive hi-vis jacket throwing shapes to the dance track One More Time. He was then a hit in the semi-final when his backing track was Eminem's My Name Is.
Venn is already an established name in the comedy world with devoted fans who follow him from gig to gig. He won the prestigious Top of the Bill prize at the NATYS (New Act of the Year) back in 2022. He was also in the Beat The Frog World Series Final in Manchester in 2022. In the same year he was joint second in the Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian of the Year Competition Final.
Venn has previously performed on the comedy circuit in a double act with fellow madcap comic Zach Zucker, but has also been making a name for himself as a solo performer. Later this year he is set to appear at the Edinburgh Fringe from August 16 - 27 in his new solo show British Comedian at the Monkey Barrel venue. More details here.
