The London Podcast Festival – now in its eighth year – will take place from 7-17 September. Kings Place is the UK’s home of live podcasting, having presented live podcast shows since 2010 before the launch of the London Podcast Festival in 2016 which was Europe’s first major podcast festival. The eleven-day Festival will bring together some of the biggest names in podcasting alongside new talent in an unrivalled line-up of live shows, workshops, meet and greets, panels and more, offering listeners, fan communities and aspiring podcasters the opportunity to celebrate the artform.
The programme, curated by Kings Place’s Deputy Director Zoë Jeyes, brings together different styles, genres and communities, highlighting the Festival’s belief that podcasting is for everyone. The Festival makes use of the three performance spaces, ground-floor Podcast Lounge, bar, restaurant and canal terrace at Kings Place. With everything happening under one roof, audiences can attend multiple events in one day whilst also networking with the podcast community. For global audiences, many of the live podcast shows will be livestreamed via KPlayer, Kings Place’s bespoke pay-per-view platform.
Partners, live shows, workshops, panels and other events will be announced throughout the summer in the lead-up to the Festival. Current highlights which are on sale now include:

Kings Place is also the regular venue for a wide range of popular podcasts, including The Guilty Feminist and The Empire Film Podcast, as well as hosting the British Podcast Awards and the International Women’s Podcast Festival, cementing its status as the home of live podcasting in the UK.
Zoë Jeyes, London Podcast Festival Producer and Programmer, said: “It's been 13 years since we started hosting live podcasts at Kings Place. During that time the audience for these unique events has grown, but one thing hasn’t changed… Kings Place is the home of live podcasting in the UK! We’ve championed the artform from day one, giving a wide range of podcasters and curators a live platform and supporting them through all aspects of production. Our team help podcasters create one-of-a-kind live shows for their fans in our beautiful venue. I am so excited to share the first events in this year’s festival, a taster of a programme that brings together the very best UK and international podcasts, alongside workshops, panels and special events. Take a look through the amazing live shows already confirmed and stay tuned for lots more announcements!”
