Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains, from the award-winning production company Rumpus Media, returns for a fifth series on Comedy Central UK on Monday 4th September at 9pm.
In this confessional, cringe-worthy, hilarious show, Rhod asks his three special guests to revisit their teenage years and compete to be crowned the ‘Most Embarrassing Teenager’ at the end of each episode. Revealing their teenage lives through old diary entries, outrageous photos, nostalgic archive clips, stories of unrequited teenage crushes and school rebellions, our guests will share their most embarrassing tales of teenagehood. Which of Rhod’s three guests will outcompete the others to win ‘Most Embarrassing Teenager”?

As well as welcoming this series’ show-stopping line-up of celebrity guests, Series 5 of Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains will also see a new element introduced to the comedy panel show. Through the use of a magical lever, Rhod will transport each of his guests back to a specific year of their teenage lives, welcoming a surprise appearance from either a friend, family member, or specific embarrassing object, encouraging tall tales of pure embarrassment relating to each of his guests.
