Following her acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe, three-time Leicester Comedy Award nominee Sikisa is set to head out on tour with her second stand-up hour, Hear Me Out. Starting with a much-anticipated return to Leicester Comedy Festival on 18th February, she will go on to play a select range of dates throughout the spring, including a run at London’s Soho Theatre from 4th to 6th April. Tour tickets are on pre-sale from Wednesday 8th November, followed by general on-sale on Friday 10th November.
In Hear Me Out, Sikisa showcases her most personal material yet, as she asks: why is it so hard to say the right things? How do you balance being a comedian, lawyer and burlesque dancer? And what’s the point of an adult dyslexia diagnosis if you can’t get a free laptop out of it? As raucous, subversive and searingly sharp as ever, this whirlwind of an hour earnt the Live At The Apollo star a spot in lists like the Evening Standard’s Best Theatre and Comedy to Book at the Fringe, I News’ Best Shows To See and The Guardian’s Ten Best Jokes from the Edinburgh Festival - and now fans across the UK have a chance to see the five-star show for themselves.
Since winning the audience vote at the BBC New Comedy Awards in 2017, Sikisa has quickly gained national recognition for her work on the live circuit, at the Edinburgh Fringe and on television.
A highly sought-after act and MC at Britain's most prestigious comedy nights including The Comedy Store, Angel Comedy and Komedia Comedy Club, she has also supported Kiri Pritchard-McLean and Catherine Cohen on tour. Her debut hour Life of the Party won wide acclaim at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe, and went on transfer to London’s Soho Theatre.
Sikisa’s television credits include Live At The Apollo, The BBC New Comedy Award (BBC), Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club (ITV), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV), Comedy Central Live, Pie & A Pint (Comedy Central), The Dog Ate My Homework (CBBC) and Period Dramas (BBC 3). She can also be heard on Evil Genius with Russel Kane (BBC Radio 4), Perfect Sounds (BBC Sounds), DM's Are Open (BBC Radio 4), Wheel Of Misfortune (BBC Radio 1), The Leak (BBC Radio Wales), The Off Menu Podcast and Films to be Buried With.
