New Comedy Festival For French Ski Resort

A new comedy festival featuring top English speaking acts and French stand-ups is to be be launched in the ski resort of Meribel in January 2024.

The popular resort has regularly staged stand-up gigs over the years and was the original local of the Altitude Festival, which now takes place in Austria.

The Franglish Comedy Festival will run from January 29 to February 2. Acts will include Marcus Brigstocke, Rachel Parris, Andrew Maxwell, Nick Doody and Tatty MacLeod as well as French-speaking acts. There will be Emglish language shows, French language shows and some shows in English and French. 

Shows will take place in intimate bars and clubs and also in the main auditorium. Fans can ski during the day and then enjoy comedy in the evenings. You can buy a pass for all the shows or tickets for individual shows. 

There are already plans for the festival to continue in 2025.
