After a couple of weeks of festive specials it's back to the regular House of Games and even at the regular BBC Two timeslot of 6.30pm. This week's guests taking on those fiendishly clever challenges are Dianne Buswell, Jenny Eclair, Adam Gemili and Owain Wyn Evans.
Jenny Eclair has become one of our most beloved comedians. She made history back in 1995 when she was the first woman to win the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show as a solo performer (Emma Thompson won it as part of the Footlights). More recently she appeared on Taskmaster and was one of the movers and shakers behind the Grumpy Old Women phenomenon. She currently co-hosts the Older And Wider podcast and, of course, tours regularly. As her podcast suggests, she might be older and wider but she's as furiously funny as ever. In fact she's probably more furious and funny than ever.
Up against Jenny is Owain Wyn Evans, who is best known to millions as the drumming weatherman. The Carmarthenshire-born broadcaster also has a show on BBC Radio 2. He likes to renovate houses and in 2022 he and his husband relocated back to Wales from the north west of Englan and celebrated in what appears to be their tradition - a bag of chips from the fish shop.
Adam Gemiliis a British sprinter who was the 2014 European champion at 200 metres, so let's see how fast he is when it comes to hitting the buzzer. Dianne Buswell is a dancer of Strictly Come Dancing and has also appeared on Michael McIntyre's primetime quiz show, The Wheel. She used to be a hairdresser and in 2015, she was a professional dancer on Australia's Dancing with the Stars.
